Tonight I had a craving for gyouza, chinese fried dumplings. They are totally delicious, pretty cheap, and available at most convenience stores. So, tonight during Jen and my nightly walk, I decided to buy some gyouza at the convenie that we pass by about halfway through our walk. Well, we went there, but no gyouza. It was a little sad, but just down the road we found another convenie. It just so happened to be a bit out of our way. We only had to walk a bit past our usual turning intersection though. But we had to cross the street and really underestimated the speed of an oncoming car. We both bolted across that street like rabbits. It was a little dangerous, but funny after the fact. Unfortunately, there was no gyouza. But just a little further down the road and across the street was yet another convenience store. Still full of hope, we went… yep, still no gyouza, but we did buy some water with a free cord keeper attached to it.
Satisfied with our water, we got back on track, and continued our walk with no hope of finding gyouza. When we were practically home, we glanced down a side road, saw the familiar glowing green of a Family Mart store, and decided to, yet again, go out of our way to check out the gyouza situation at convenie number four. And still no gyouza. It was simply not the night for gyouza. But, instead, I found a tortilla wrap- the flavor, pizza sauce with a wiener inside. I am not giving my own description here, that is actually what it said on the package. And you know what, it wasn’t all that bad, especially considering that it was just a gyouza substitution. But all of the convenie adventuring was quite fun actually. We had a good walk and really racked up the steps.
