Girls Night Out

This past Saturday evening, I got all gussied up and went out on the town for a good old-fashioned girls night. And it was so much fun!!

There’s this band that Jen and I like, Sushi Cabaret Club, but unfortunately, they’re going to break up next month. But we discovered that they were going to perform at this bar, so we were all about it. Then we discovered that it was an international mixer party, so Jen just corralled up some of our girl friends and we went to an international mixer party. And let me tell you, it’s pretty much just as awkward as it sounds. And thank goodness that I was part of a group of seven girls!

We get there and discover a wide array of people, mostly young Japanese women, and old foreign men. Right away we all knew that the night was going to be full of lots of awkward moments. For a while we just talked and waited for the band…and maybe poked fun of some of the more interesting people there. But finally, the band started to play and they were awesome of course!

But during the performance, our little group of seven got split up into mostly pairs, and that’s when things started getting funny. Never underestimate the truth that there’s safety in numbers. When we split, that’s when the guys started descending, or in some cases, stalking. I won’t say much about it, but I will say that an international mixer party is not the ideal place to meet guys. But I will admit that Jen had the most luck. She was looking hot on Saturday and all the guys knew it! Check out her blog for her version of the story.

When all’s said and done, this crazy girls night was exactly what all of us needed! We’re all already looking forward to next month’s girls night.
